Kali is gone. Erin, my sister, took her to another friends place to try her luck there. Her new home has only only one other pet, a rotweiler that stays outside most of the time. Thank you Adam. To return to a state of normalacy, Joel trapped the cats in the basement for two days. This made them realize that Kali was gone and she wouldn't be there to bully them around when they went to the litter box or to the kitty feeding station.
